Also on display were firearms from the Frontier and modern Rangers time. Some in the display were owned by Texas Rangers.

Of course, no Texas Ranger display is complete without the Walker Colt.
Designed in 1846 by American firearms inventor Samuel Colt to the specifications of Captain Samuel Hamilton Walker, the 87th Legislature of the Texas Senate Bill titled, “Recognizing the 1847 Colt Walker pistol as the official handgun of the State of Texas”, as it was “historically crucial to the early survival of the great State of Texas” was signed by Governor Abbot May 24th, 2021, designating the Walker Colt the “Official Hand gun of the State of Texas.
